Refund & Cancellation Policy – Absolute Repair LLC (Greensburg, PA)
This page explains how refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows are handled for Absolute Repair LLC in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas of Westmoreland County.
Our goal is to be fair and clear with every customer. We schedule work based on AI-assisted photo estimates, written scopes of work, and deposits that reserve time on our calendar. This policy helps protect both you and our business when plans change.
- No flat-fee “all jobs” pricing – every job is estimated individually
- No open-ended hourly blocks – work is tied to a written scope
- Deposits reserve your date and time window
- Refunds / credits depend on timing and work already performed
Important: This page is a general policy summary. If your written estimate, contract, or payment agreement contains more specific terms, those written terms control for that job. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
How Our Jobs Are Set Up Before We Talk About Refunds
To understand our refund and cancellation rules, it helps to know how we set up every job:
-
You send photos & information.
You text photos, your name, address, and a short description of the work needed. -
We prepare an AI-assisted written estimate.
We use AI tools plus real experience to review your photos and send a written estimate with scope, notes, and projected cost or cost range. -
You approve the estimate.
You review and approve the written estimate, including any listed deposit amount and terms. -
You pay the required deposit (if any) and we schedule.
Once a required deposit is paid, we hold a specific date/time window and turn down other work for that slot.
We do not rely on generic “$X per room” or “$X per hour” charts. Every appointment is tied to a written, job-specific estimate.
Deposits – Non-Refundable, Transferable, or Refundable?
Deposits exist to reserve time, schedule labor, and in some cases prepare for materials. Because of that, deposits are not automatically refunded in every situation.
Unless your written estimate says otherwise:
- Deposits are typically applied to your final balance when work is completed.
- If you cancel with reasonable advance notice, deposits may be moved to a new date or partially refunded, depending on how much planning/work has already happened.
- If you cancel last minute or do not show, your deposit may become non-refundable to cover time we set aside for you.
The exact rules for your job will be listed in your estimate or invoice. Always read your paperwork – those written terms are what we follow.
Cancellation Windows & How We Handle Each One
We understand that life happens. At the same time, last-minute cancellations can hurt a small local business. Here is how we generally handle cancellations, unless your specific paperwork says something different.
1. Cancelling More Than 72 Hours Before Your Appointment
If you contact us to cancel more than 72 hours before your scheduled window:
- We will try to reschedule you and move your deposit to a new agreed date, OR
- We may offer a partial refund of your deposit if you are not rescheduling and we have not incurred specific costs for your job.
The exact decision depends on factors like job size, planning, and whether any special materials or third-party services were lined up for you.
2. Cancelling 24–72 Hours Before Your Appointment
When you cancel with 24 to 72 hours’ notice, we may or may not be able to refill that time. In most cases:
- We will try to move your appointment to a new date and apply your deposit to that date.
- If you decide not to move forward at all, some or all of the deposit may be held as a cancellation fee to cover the reserved slot and planning.
3. Same-Day Cancellation or No-Show
If you cancel on the same day, are not home, or we cannot start because there is no access when we arrive:
- We typically treat the deposit as a non-refundable cancellation fee.
- In some cases, a trip charge or additional fee may apply if our paperwork lists one.
We try to be reasonable and will listen to genuine emergencies, but repeated same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future services.
If Absolute Repair LLC Has to Reschedule or Cancel
Sometimes we have to reschedule due to weather, emergencies, unsafe conditions, or problems beyond our control (such as illness, vehicle issues, or new safety information about the job).
- We will contact you as soon as possible and offer alternative dates.
- If we cancel and cannot offer a reasonable reschedule, we will refund your deposit for that job.
- If we must stop a job already in progress due to new safety concerns outside our control, we will bill only for the work reasonably completed and discuss next steps with you.
We try to treat our customers the way we would want to be treated – clearly, honestly, and in writing.
Refunds After Work Has Already Started
Once work has begun on your project, refunds are based on what has already been done and what is left according to the written estimate.
If You Decide to Stop the Job Early
If you ask us to stop before the agreed work is finished:
- You are responsible for paying for work already performed and any materials used.
- Any remaining unused portion of your payment may be considered for a partial refund or credit, depending on how much is left and whether the remaining work can reasonably be undone or rescheduled.
If You Are Unhappy with Part of the Work
We want a chance to inspect and correct work you believe is not meeting the written scope. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can:
- Review the area in person
- Compare the concern to the written estimate
- Determine whether a touch-up, rework, or adjustment is appropriate
In many cases, we can fix an issue more effectively than refunding. If we cannot reasonably correct something within the written scope, we will discuss fair options with you.
Non-Refundable Items & Situations
Some costs are typically non-refundable, especially when they have already been spent or committed:
- Special-order or custom materials that cannot be returned
- Third-party services already ordered for your job (for example, certain dump fees or specialty rentals)
- Same-day or no-show cancellations where we have already reserved and traveled for your slot
- Work that has already been completed in line with the written scope
When in doubt, we will review each case individually and explain our decision. We want you to feel that our approach is reasonable—even when we cannot grant a full refund.
Payment Method & Disputes
Our primary online payment method is Cash App – $Handymanpa. By sending payment, you are agreeing to the written estimate and any attached policy terms for that job.
- Please always include your name, service address, and job/estimate ID in the payment note.
- If you believe there is a mistake on your invoice or balance, contact us directly first so we can review and respond in writing.
- We may send you a written statement or updated invoice explaining any adjustment we agree to make.
Attempting to reverse or dispute payments without contacting us first may delay resolutions. We are happy to provide written confirmation of work performed and payments received if requested.
